Teen Girls Beware
My teenage brother, Baby Troy, was working on a packet called "Healthy Relationships" for his health class and he was presented with a scenario involving a girl who wanted to break up with a much older man. My mother looked over his shoulder and realized that Baby Troy had some sage advice for Martina:

We weren't dating, but I once told a guy that we were only ever going to be "friends" over a text message. (This was totally unprovoked by him.)
ReplyDeleteI do not blame myself, however, for this bizarre behavior. I was just recently back from the mission, and you do all kinds of crazy crap in the de-warping phase.
I once had a guy try to break up with me over text message, but I didn't have texting ability on my phone at the time. After a week of acting strangely, he ended up leaving Homecoming with another girl, then texted her date with, "Please tell Alana I'm breaking up with her. Would you mind giving her a ride home? And Kristi says you two are over." It was a great night.
